Bamboo Diapers - Box

These diapers have changed my parenting experience with my second child. They are my top choice for so many reasons

1. Comfort. They have a great fit and never leak except those crazy baby blowouts that no diaper in the world could ever contain. They are comfortable all night, I don't do changes in the night unless there is a poo. My baby hasn't had diaper rash a single day in his life and he's 5 months old.

2. Materials. are made of out of materials that feel good and safe, clean and free from harsh products. They are unscented, WHY would anyone make scented diapers. At the store, I would often get home with a box of diapers and then only realize they were scented after opening them which was such a huge dissappointment.

3. Ethics. I like the ethics of this company and like that they are made in Canada and not being shipped halfway across the world.

4. Ease. I don't have to think about it, we have a subscription and I haven't run out of diapers or had to think about going and buying them a single time with this baby. I have found changing the sizing and timing super easy, I've done it on my phone in the middle of the night one-handed while breastfeeding mostly. Which is how most new parents handle logistics, so this has been really easy and awesome.

I absolutely love these diapers. They are soft and free from heavy chemicals, dyes, and smells. I feel good using these on my baby! They are also super absorbent at night and stay dry until the morning. I also love that they're made from compostable materials, and I can compost in a facility!

I tried my best to find the most sustainable, non-toxic, ideally Canadian-made (or owned) diapers I could get my hands on when my first child was born. Eco Pea Co checked almost all the boxes. I'm now tens of boxes down of the bamboo diapers (of all sizes from nb to size 5) and I'm still pleased with how it holds up and is non-irritating to my second born's body. The price point is higher generally than what's available in stores near me, but not much more than other brands with the same promise. Plus boxes last and they ship fast to my Vancouver suburb home. Small details I like the most are that the flaps/frills are nice and big to catch stray anything, and nothing is fragranced. It's clean, durable, and simple.

From my research, these diapers will decompose in a landfill in about 50 years. Conventional diapers take closer to 500 years to decompose in a landfill. That alone is a clear reason to try them. Sure they might cost a bit more than a sale box at the drugstore but in my opinion it is a clear choice. I’ve now tried both the bamboo diapers and the cotton enhanced diapers and I think they are both amazing. The cotton ones are luxuriously soft and thinner but seem to provide just as much absorption and keep my little ones sensitive parts happy. My older kiddo was in the bamboo diapers for over three years so I thought maybe the quality of these were too good because he didn’t seem to notice being wet or care so I thought they were part of the reason potty learning seemed a bit delayed. Turns out it was just a him thing because my 19 month old is already nearly finished her potty training journey. Get the diapers. They are better for the environment and better for your kids. Also just going to add…this company has incredibly amazing customer service. I’ve always been very impressed. Thanks eco pea co for taking one major worry out of parenting for me. The only thing I could ask for is even more emphasis around how they are a better choice for the planet because people often ask me and I would love to refer to something comprehensive on the website.
